Chris Bennett was NJ State Champion in the 800m and XC. He was 1st Team All State in XC in ’93. At CBA, Bennett was a part of 4 nationally ranked XC teams and the anchor leg of the runner up DMR at the National Championships. He was also the anchor leg on the All American 4×800 Relay team in 1994. An 8 time Monmouth County, 4 time Shore Conference champion, Bennett attended UNC where he captained the Tar Heels’ XC and Track teams.  He ran 5 years for the Olympic Development Nike Farm Team running 3:43 for 1500m. Chris teaches and coaches at CBA in Lincroft, NJ. Since returning to CBA the Colts have won the National Championship in the 4xMile (2011), the NXN XC National Championhip (2011), set NJ state records in the indoor 4x800 (7:41 2012) the Indoor DMR (10:02 2011) the Outdoor 4x1500 (16:08 2012) as well as NJ state records for 5 man average on the XC courses at Holmdel Park and Ocean County Park as well as running the fastest 5 Man average ever for a NJ XC team (15:25). CBA won the HS Chamionship of America DMR at the Penn Relays in 2011. The CBA teams have won the last 2 NJ All Group State Championships in XC, the last 2 Parochial A State Championships in XC and the last 2 NE NXN Regional Championships and set meet records at each Championship in the process. CBA has also won every Parochial A Indoor State Relay Championship since Bennett returned as well as 4 of the last 5 Parochial A State Indoor Championships. The Colts also were runnerup in the 2011 Indoor National Championship DMR and 2011 Outdoor National Championship 4xMile. This past winter CBA became the first US HS boys team to have 2 teams named All American in the same event as the Colts A and B teams finished 4th and 5th at the Indoor National Championships. Bennett also serves as Co-Director of Bennett Running which operates both Track and Field and Cross Country camps as well as the Wicked Pumpkin XC Run, the Summer Twilight Miles Series, and The Greatest Runner Ever Competition. Bennett Running also offers private and group coaching.

Tammie Bennett was a 2 time NC State Champion in XC. She has held NC age group records for the 5k, 8k and 10k distances for over 20 years. While on the University of North Carolina XC and Track teams she earned All-ACC honors in the 3000m, 5000m and 10,000m runs. She later competed for the Olympic Development Nike Farm Team based at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA.  Tammie has a 5k PR of 16:50.  She coaches cross country and track at St. Leo the Great in Lincroft, NJ. In the Fall of 2011 Bennett started the pee wee XC program at St. Leo the Great and followed the success of the fall with an OUtdoor Track pee wee program. The Outdoor Pee Wee program had over 120 kids!
